Who we are

Browsing this website
The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies. To see how the planner is used, the site counts a few anonymous events, such as how many plans are started, results viewed and save buttons pressed. These are kept only as daily totals, with no cookies, IP addresses or other personal data.
Plan your project
When you use Plan your project, the answers you give (such as desk numbers, floor area and move date) are used to work out your brief, indicative budget and timeline. Until you choose to save, your project is kept only in your own browser's storage on your device, not on our systems. You can clear it at any time through your browser.
If you type a question into Ask Dancore, it may be processed by Cloudflare Workers AI to word the answer. Cloudflare doesn't use this content to train AI models and doesn't make it available to other Cloudflare customers. We don't store your questions. Please don't include personal or confidential details in them.
Saving a project
If you save a project, we store your email address, your project answers and whether you asked for occasional guidance emails. We first send one email asking you to confirm your address. Once you confirm, we email you a copy of the brief and a private link to reopen the project, and Dancore is sent a short notification with your email address, your brief and whether you asked for guidance emails. Dancore can also see saved projects on the website's private admin page. The private link and confirmation links are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form.
To stop the service being used to send unwanted email, we keep a scrambled record of the address emailed and the sending connection's IP address, with whether the email was sent, for 7 days. When you save or ask to recover a project, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not an automated program, is using the form.
Sharing your project with us
If you choose to share a confirmed project before booking a call, we receive your name, email address, any company, phone number and message you give us, and your project brief. We use them to prepare for and hold the call. Bookings themselves are made through Microsoft Bookings.
Contacting us
If you contact us by email or phone, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you tell us about your project.
Why we use it
- To give you the planning tools, save your project and send the emails you ask for (our legitimate interest in providing a service you've requested, and steps you ask us to take before a possible contract).
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare for a call (legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or steps before entering a contract).
- To send occasional guidance emails, only if you tick the box to ask for them. You can withdraw that consent at any time. We don't send these yet.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
- To deliver services under a contract with you or your organisation, and to keep records required by law, for example for tax and accounting.
How long we keep it
- Projects in your browser stay until you clear them.
- Saved projects you never confirm are deleted after 7 days.
- Confirmed projects are deleted 12 months after you last open them. You can delete yours straight away from the project page. That removes it, and anything you shared through the site, from the website's database; an email we already received about a shared project is kept as an enquiry, as below.
- Records used to prevent email abuse are deleted after 7 days.
- Enquiries, including projects shared with us, that don't lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Project and contract records are kept for 6 years after the work ends, as required for accounting and legal purposes.
Who we share it with
We don't sell personal data. We use trusted providers to run the website and our business: Cloudflare (website hosting, the project database, the AI that words Ask Dancore answers, and Turnstile) and Microsoft 365 (email and Bookings). The project database is held primarily in Western Europe. Some providers may process data outside the UK, with appropriate safeguards in place.
Storage on your device
Plan your project uses your browser's local storage to keep your project, or the private link to a saved project, so you can carry on where you left off. This is needed for the service you've asked for. Turnstile may store technical information to tell people from automated programs. We don't use storage on your device for advertising or tracking.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. You can delete a saved project yourself at any time. For anything else, email info@dancore.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
